Daily Basis

That I succeed on a daily basis to

defeat my indigenous impulse towards

destruction is a credit to my

upbringing

That I don't crush the weaving rice-burning

motorcyclist between me and the semi

up ahead is a testament to

their certainty

That I don’t sideswipe the two lane takin'

tailgatin' xpedition and consign him to

the hell he deserves is a testimony to their

allegiance

It is upon these victories a new sun shines

and God smiles
